- Clear and delete all information from the built-in hard drive.
- Change the dialing prefix for the phone line.

- Force a daily call to update program and service information.
- Restart the Digital Network Recorder (DNR).
- Error: FAILED - SERVICE NOT ANSWERING occurs when trying to make the daily phone call to the TiVo® service.
- The WELCOME, POWERING UP message remains on the screen and will not go away.
- Error: FAILED DOWNLOADING MESSAGES.
- The modem is not connecting or receiving a SERVICE UNAVAILABLE message.
- An ERROR 51 message is displayed on the television screen.
